Netscape 7 or 7 Spam Filtering

Any spam you receive should now come to you with a *****SPAM***** tag in the subject. You can tell Netscape to automatically delete the messages that have this tag for you. Here's how:

1. Open Netscape Mail (open your Inbox)

2. Click the "Edit" (Tools in Netscape 7) menu from the top of the window

3. Come down to "Message Filters". This will open a new window.

4. Click the "New" button to the right.

5. The new window has three basic sections. The first section is for the name of the filter. It has "untitled filter" in the blank. Clear this out and type "Spam Filter" in the blank.

6. The center section has everything we need already set except for the far right blank. Click in this blank and type in "*****SPAM*****" (five stars, SPAM, five stars without the quotes).

7. The last section has two drop down lists. You will need to select "Delete the message" from the first list.

8. Click "OK".

9. Click "OK" again.

That's it! Now when you check your mail Netscape will automatically delete any mail that has *****SPAM***** in the subject line.
